The Best School in India

We have clear aims and expectations to help us achieve a happy, safe and secure environment for all those who work in or visit our school. We have introduced Golden Rules to help us achieve our aims.
Minor rule breaking will he ignored. Members of staff will provide attention to those who are behaving correctly. When pupils have to he reminded of the rules, this will be done quietly and calmly with the aim of getting the pupil hack on task as soon as possible. The inappropriate behavior will be criticized not the child.
Children should also be receptive to the school's effort to develop his or her own esteem. From time to time it will be necessary for the teacher to issue instruction which may need to be acted upon promptly without question and the children should understand that, in such circumstances, the member of staff is acting either for the pupil's own benefit or with the general welfare of the school in mind. thus, although corporal punishment has been prohibited in country schools and voluntary controlled schools since September 1986, standards of discipline are high and other punishments of a non-physical nature may be imposed in cases of regular failure to comply with the school's code of behavior the child's parents will be informed of the situation. They may subsequently be invited to attend a meeting with the Principal in order to determine how the parents may best support the school's effort to maintain the good standards of discipline for which the school is renowned.

Authorized Absence
If your child is absent, please be kind enough to inform the school and send a letter Explaining the absence when he/she returns.
Unauthorized Absence
There are occasions when a child is late, or a note has been received giving reason for absence, or days have been taken outside the scope of regulations, e.g. occasional days out, holidays longer than 10 days etc. These are regarded as unauthorized absence.
Permission to Leave the Premises
No child will be given permission to leave the school premises during the school day without the written permission/request of the parents and the agreement of the principal.
Illness in School
If a child becomes unwell in school or we have any concerns over the result of the child’s health parents are contacted by phone. It is essential that the school has an emergency contact number of the parents.
The School Doctor
DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL BALAGHAT has a doctor, who visits periodically. The doctor can see few children, chosen by the teacher. On each visit and advises teachers and parents of any help the children may need. On these visit the doctor gives advice from and educational paint of view.
Medical Matters
When a child starts school, parents are asked to complete a form which allows them to give details of all allergies or relevant medical condition of which the school ought to be aware, together with a request for the telephone number of someone who may be contacted in the event of an emergency should be parents be unavailable. It is essential that this form is fully complete if the welfare of each pupil is to be effectively provided for. All forms are regarded as confidential and information is kept in computer database. You must make every effort to keep this up-to-date. In cases where professional medical treatment is considered necessary after an incident at school, and is not possible to contact Parents. Then the child may be taken directly to either the local health centre or the hospital by a member of staff. The child's parents will, of course, be informed of the situation as soon as possible. If a child taking regular medication (eg. asthma Inhalers), the class teacher must he informed and the medicine must he kept by member of staff in a safe place away from the reach of other pupils, i.e. It must not be left in cloakroom areas, desks or trays. When, after illness, a child returns to school requiring daily dosages to complete a course of prescribed medication, arrangements must he made to administer these. Teachers and support staff are not allowed, by law, to administer medicine.
